We aim to keep 'house rules' to a minimum but there are a few points to bear in mind when making a booking at the Lodge.

 

Payment

We accept payment in cash or by electronic funds transfer direct into our bank account (applies only to persons having an SA bank account). We are unable at present to accept payment by credit card.

Deposits

We normally ask for a deposit of 50 per cent of the value of the booking in order to secure a reservation.  The balance is payable on arrival.  For booking requests from abroad (i.e. outside South Africa) at our discretion we will waive the deposit and operate on trust.  However, we ask for a cell phone number, valid in SA, on which we could contact you if necessary.

 
Children

Children are welcome at the Lodge.  For babies and toddlers (up to 2 years old)  accommodation is free of charge if they share a bed with their parents or sleep in a travel cot but a nominal charge of R15 is made for breakfast.  We regret that the Lodge does not provide travel cots.  Children up to the age of four qualify for a discount of 10 per cent of the adults' tariff.  Children of 5 years of age or more are charged as adults. 

Breakfast

Breakfast is normally served between 8.00am and 9.00am.  Please let us know in advance if you require an earlier breakfast.

Smoking

Smoking on site is permitted in outside areas only.

Pets

We regret that pets are not permitted on site.

Check-in

Check-in times are between 1.30 pm (13.00 hrs) and 6.30 pm (18.30 hrs).  Please ring us to let us know you are on track if your expected time of arrival will be after 6.30 pm.

Check-out

Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10.30 am to allow our cleaning schedule to be completed.

Should you need to cancel a booking please note our policy on refunds:
